In the town of Santa Ponsa in 1229, the Count of Barcelona landed. Santa Ponsa Market
The weekly Saturday market in Santa Ponsa is year-round for tourists and locals. Artisans from all over the island bring their wares here. Popular items include bags and hats woven from palm leaves, glassblowers' products, traditional leather shoes, and clothing made from cotton and artificial pearls.
